“Max” was found with a horrifically injured leg. Apparently at some point someone cared enough to have Max’s injured leg repaired, but then either dumped him, or Max escaped. Unfortunately, the repair hardware was left in and created a seriously infected leg as well as a hole. Max was taken to the vet where they fought to save his leg.

Max had his leg repaired, however he wasn’t happy about it and did not use it.  He acted like the leg really bothered him. He chewed on it and barked at it. We gave it some time, but after two failed attempts at saving his leg, we had to make the decision to have it amputated.

Surgery went well and Max is getting around just fine!  Life looks hopeful and comfortable for Max! At the current time is still rehabbing here at the Ranch!
